I've been having some sort of "fun" watching the ZF9 transmission fiasco and I'm a bit biased I have to admit for the DS. But I've got to ask all who are anxious on getting one in the automatic transmission configuration.

Are you aware of the problems in all the applications of this transmission? Acura TLX, Crysler 200, Jeep Cherokee, Range Rover Evoque just to name a few. Have you seen the first symptoms of this plague coming from some of the initial reviews regarding this transmission in the DS? Have you seen the problems everyone is reporting all over the forums of the other vehicles? Plus all the websites that aggregate the problems coming from the drivers?

I've heard off the cuff that ZF is having anightmare with this guy, as soon as they come off the assembly line they're taken for readjustment.

But then again most of the trouble seems to be coming from FCA so I'm not entirely sure its not a problem on their end...

Nope. For example, here are the stats for the Acura TLX:

The ZF9 in the DS is definitely going to follow the same trend. That is just a badly designed transmission, and what's worse, it's being QAed on the drivers.

Those transmission problems are enough to have me sit on the sidelines for now, plus im in no rush to buy.
