times like the last few days, temp is in the high 90's it would be great if I can auto start my Discovery from my home, and by the time I'm ready to go to the car the car will be cool. Even Chrysler has this option and Land Rover is higher end and should have this option. Also another option, I feel this car is missing, is when I run out of the car to get coffee, I can't just lock the car and go in the store with the engine running. My last car Grand Jeep Cherokee has this feature, hopefully LL will add these feature in the next few years.

I see that option screen in my Remote app tour but we don't actually have it in our app. I feel like I've dropped the ball here...How did you get it?

We'd love to have remote start on the Disco. I've had it on my past 3 RAM trucks, we've had it on some other past vehicles and we've been disappointed the DS doesn't have it.

What's the story??

I had it too. My dealer needed to enroll me in the subscription. I gave them my email and we set it up before I drove off the lot. My Disco is a 2016 purchased December 2015.

The subscription is free for the first part of the warranty (4 years). Then I believe there is a fee.
Yes ^^^ this.....

I love my app - finding the car by honking it's horn and lights flashing when you park somewhere in the sticks is nice!

What?!?! Someone tell me how to do this? I just bought a DS HSE 2016. Nearest dealership is 2 hrs away and no one has me walked me through anything. I didn't know this was an option?
First call your salesperson and ask them to register you with the VIN into the Land Rover system.

Then, have your salesperson email you the link to login. Create a user name and password on your PC/Mac (don't do this on a mobile device or tablet). Once you can login to the account and your car via computer.....

Download the app from your App store to your mobile/table device.

Enter the credentials you created in step 2 into the app and voila!

You can now remote start the car, check the journeys, locate your car, remotely unlock/lock, remind you of service needs, etc...

Disco I had issues setting mine up as well - you must do this on-line first as 4sallypat says. Was kind of a pain.

I might be able to help if you want to DM me

Hi, tried but cant seem to find my VIN in the system. Does this incontrol app works in the middle east? I dont seem to find middle east countries on the registration page.
Try this site; VIN Decoder for Land Rover vehicles

If you have a good cellular signal to the car and your cell phone is either on WiFi or cellular with a good signal, I find it works the best.

If the car is shielded in a garage, has poor cell reception or otherwise has interference (EMI, RFI), then you may have issues.

Also, it helps to have a good WiFi signal on top of the cellular signal on your cell phone.

Remember to update the LR App - the remote app changed versions last week and will fail to connect to your vehicle unless you update the phone app.
I had that issue and then realized I checked the App Store and found it needed a critical update.

I am not sure if you bought yours from a dealer or not but if you did take it to them. My dealer set mine up for me all i had to do was confirm the email from LR.
