Set to go on sale next year, the US-spec model will be equipped with a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that develops 240 bhp (179 kW). It will be connected to a nine-speed automatic transmission and a standard all-wheel drive system.
That is opposed to the 2.2-liter diesel engine that is the only option for the European market on launch.

Fingers crossed for a v6 ingenium diesel in NA in a year or two, I'd be interested in picking up a 1-2 yr old diesel after my initial three years of ownership if the platform bears out to be as functional as it appears.

I do think that the diesel could make its way to NA. It won't be the only engine offered when it comes to NA tough.

I think its funny ow Americans are starting to want diesels while France is taking steps to get rid of them.

i read recently that they might have trouble trying to keep up with cafe standards so chances are in north american they might try to come out with some hybrid powertrains and pass up on the diesel powertrains .
