But in the UK, they mostly drive the 2.2L diesel engine which has more torque.....Plus, there are people in the UK towing their trailers with the DS with no problem.
AH HA! True true! But in the UK, they mostly drive the 2.2L diesel engine which has more torque.
In comparison, I have had 2 SUV - BMW X5 diesel and Honda Pilot 6 cylinder gasoline.
The diesel can tow up to 6500 pounds while the Honda can barely tow 2000 pounds with 10% on the tongue....
Glad I traded in the Honda and got the Discovery - at least the 4 cylinders can tow more than the Honda.![]()
We have had a similar experience. It tows well. What sort of weight do you have on the tow ball for your set up ? SteveWe regulary tow our camper trailer and have found the DS to be a very good tow vehicle. We average around 10 l/100km with the trailer. Our DS is a 2017 HSE TD4 180. We generally do highway trips of between 500km and 1000km.
Hi there, read a post from 2018, and it mentioned the discovery’s come with the towing wiring harness from the factory .. I don’t know if my 2016 disco sport has that as I can’t see that under the backend. Any advice on where to see if I do have it?
getting a hitch installed this week and don’t want to get charges for wiring harness if I have it already.
thanks In advance and know this is an old thread
