Hi, can anyone help. I have a 2015 Evoke, 45,000 miles and owned from new. FSH.

Sunday the steering stopped working, and I only just avoided a head on crash which would have seen fatalities.

AA took vehicle to Kentdale Land Rover who tested and said this was an Internal failure and nothing to do with the known issue of corrosive bolts. £2,756 to replace the full steering rack due to an “internal failure”.

The car has only done 45,000 miles. I’ve never known anything like this. And feel very let down by Land Rover. There is known fault with this part…. And by pure coincidence this part has failed….. but it’s not covered by the now extended warranty on this part.

Hi everyone, about a month ago had my recall for power steering corroded bolts. Its a 2017 Discovery Sport, when vehicle was checked sure enough mine had corroded bolts which under the recall a new steering rack is fitted,so far so good or so i thought.Second day after car returned warning light reduced power steering, vehicle was collected apparrently steering rack faulty another fitted.3weeks on warning light again ps failure so its now back in garage for 3rd time.Confidence gone in owning a LR of any type and with 2 ps failures my luck in being involved in an accident is running low. Does anyone know if JagLR should be obliged to purchase this vehicle as its not fit for purpose?
