Looks like they've squeezed out some new apps for InControl.

I just noticed a few cool new apps for InControl. Magellan smartGPS...unfortunately, it cost $60 to be able to use it through InControl....
And accuweather. A weather app was something I was really hoping to see on InControl. I really enjoy the live weather capability in my RAM truck through uConnect so I'm stoked to try it in the DS. I just downloaded it to my phone. The app itself looks cool and its pretty slick. I look forward to playing around with it in the Disco.

There's some more that I haven't messed with yet.

Must only be for iPhone. I see Tile, ParkWhiz, and iHeartRadio as new apps in Android, but not Accuweather. Oh well. Of course, I now have an iPod with Incontrol Apps because I get better music sound from that rather than my Nexus 6P (although the latest update mostly fixed the issue), so I guess I should check the iPod.

Meh, I played around with it in the DS last night. The app is pretty slick when used on the phone but it's extremely watered down when used via InControl in the DS. It gives you current temp and conditions... Well DUH.., plus I can already see current temp in the gauge on my vehicle info screen. It does give you a short time frame of hourly forecast but big whoop!

This is nowhere near the sophisticated weather app on my RAMs uConnect that gives you severe weather warning pop ups, a week long weather forecast and a live weather radar on a map with your current location marked on the map and severe weather areas blocked in color. It's also customizable so you can set up the info you want to see and none that you don't. This is extremely useful in severe weather season, like we are in now. I tune into live weather forecasting from local tv stations that are streamed on local radio stations and I pull the weather radar map up while I'm driving. It's just incredibly useful if you're caught out with storms rolling in. I was hoping for something like that, much more sophisticated, for the DS. Even still, for a weather app, Accuweather on InControl is a complete joke. Wow....
