I ruined my new car! Backing into my garage, I clipped the house with my driver's side mirror.

Wonder what that will cost me from the dealer.

Is there a replacement part out there for me to install myself?

Hopefully the mirror and door was designed with repair in mind. On a previous vehicle, quite a bit of the door had to be disassembled to get to the mirror hardware.

Got the quote and it will be about $900 after painting the cover ($100) and install.

The parts alone were quoted around $670 from my dealer.

Just out of curiosity I found this site: http://www.landroverpartsinternational.com and the OEM parts were about $200 cheaper.

I called my dealership and they adjusted my parts price closer to the site above. They said they can't believe it would be OEM parts from the site as the prices were too low, but gave me a much better quote so my total will be closer to $775 with paint and labor.

That is still a heafty amount for a mirror that does not even have the camera... But since it is my fault I can only be mad at myself!
