Hi there , new owner here.

I’m wanting to install a roof tray/platform (standard loading) on my FY17 DS HSE (without a panoramic roof).

With no factory installed roof rails, is it best to get these installed first, rather than fixing the rack with a clamp/gutter system (e.g. Thule) and risking damage to the body paint?

Just trying to minimize the number of parts (and costs) in having to install multiple components. Appreciate any advice/pics.

Hi. Welcome to the forum. I have a 2015 DS HSE without roof rails and I had the Rhino cross bars and pioneer platform fitted. All works really well. If you are leaving the racks on permanently then you won’t damage anything. It’s taking them on and off that risks the damage!

Thanks Mick, will definitely consider your setup further.
How high does the top of the platform sit above your roof line?
Also do the cross bars extend beyond the edge of the roof?
I have a tight garage space to work with and thus the rack profile is a key consideration.
