JEL- stop/start in the Disco Sport is a complicated beast, I have had issues with this since I bought my car and to date 18 months later the problem is still not resolved..My battery is not dead. I was just wondering. I was originally trying to figure out why the Auto Start/Stop never works was thinking maybe the battery is not charged. I hardly drive it during the week. I know batteries charge when driven. At some point down the road all batteries die. I was curious as to the cost of an aftermarket battery for a Land Rover Discovery Sport and could not any. The only thing I could find was the OEM battery.
Good luck with that! Discs and pads metal on metal with no warning at 17000 miles, battery not taking full charge at the same time - before first service due! Trying to get any response out of LR like banging head on brick wall! This car is a real snowflake!!!can't help with your question but....did your battery already die ???
I would be very concerned if my battery went dead after a few years and probably would be complaining to LR....even if it is not cover by any warranty
This took me a while to find, but was WAY cheaper than the £340 quoted by main dealer. It cost me £20 to get fitted at a local garage and the automatic start/stop is now working again. I believe the garage used a power supply that plugs into the lighter socket to retain the radio/clock setings. Can someone post a good replacement battery for the OEM battery? I cannot find any matches when a look for a replacement. (2016 DS HSE) Would it be the same as a Range Rover Evoque?
