Hi guys - just got a 2016 Discovery Sport HSE Luxury - Black exterior, Black interior. Super excited to pick it up Thursday! I really wanted the black rims on the car but this was a great opportunity so I went with it. I am going to look to powder coat the rims and just wanted to get your insights on if I should powder coat the existing ones or just get new rims? Powder coating existing rims will be much more cost effective.

My current rims are the "18 INCH TEN SPLIT-SPOKE ‘STYLE 109’"

Hello - the car will look great all black! Have no experience myself with powder coating, but would guess that is how the black rims from the factory are made - so why not go for it, especially if it saves so much $$;)

I powder coated the rims on one of my older cars....great cost effective option. Just ensure you do your homework to find the best powder coater you can. If you're anywhere near Toronto Ontario I can recommend a few shops.

Good luck and post pics when done!
