Hi all,

Bought a white HSE yesterday + climate comfort and driver assist. Got a great lease deal from Hornburg in LA. Really excited to have a car with, though not full blown, offroad capabilities. When El Nino floods our streets I'll be ready!

Had a Mercedes GLK up to this point. Rock solid car, but with our kid in her forward facing carseat, the passenger front seat had to go too far forward. My knees would be 1/2 inch from the dash and it made for uncomfortable road trips. In the Disco I've got about 5 inches! Amazing how they made up the room. And that sunroof is AWESOME for the kid to look out. On top of that for the same MSRP we got tons more stuff out of the Disco: touchscreen, NAV, parking sensors and camera, AWD, HEATED AND COOLED seats (yes!), Xenon headlights..... But it never once went in the shop.

Being a Land Rover I'm a little worried about reliability. But my Audi A4 has thrown more check engine lights in it's 35,000 miles than any car I've ever had (all dealing with the fuel evap system, so nothing crippling) and I love that car. The Rover service center is literally around the block from my office so it will be convenient.

No Satellite radio with the $800 upgrade? That's a bit lame. Eh.

Have you seen what Merecedes replaced the GLK with... the GLC?

If you got the Stereo upgrade you should get 3 months free Sirrus. You have to call the toll free# that comes on the screen when you turn on Sirrus. Give them the radio # and they will activate the 3 months free subscription for you. I just did this last week when I was coming home from picking up my new car from dealer. Took me about 10 mins from start to activation.

I'd be interested to hear the OPs take on the GLC too.

I was contemplating extending my GLK lease and waiting for the GLC. The interior is amazing at that price point (along with the new C class). But I'm not a fan of the exterior, with the exception of the front end, it lost the rugged nature that the GLK has. Also, once you option up the GLC you're looking at mid 50s too.

Sorry, we *didn't* get the upgraded audio. Luckily tmobile doesn't count music against your data cap so we can just use Spotify.

We didn't even consider another MB. You really need to lay out some serious money to make their car's feel upscale. I think at $45k you should get some basic things a luxury car should have.

As for the music, has anyone experienced a very low volume level when streaming from BT ?

Someone else brought this up at some point. Believe the problem is based on how high (or low) the volume is set on the phone itself. Mine works great!
