As an expat US domestics just aren't refined enough, so I waited for the DS to be launched. Ordered without seeing one in the flesh, delivery is scheduled for May. Our dealer hasn't given us pricing yet, but I see AnthDTM1 got the model prices from their dealer (in this thread http://www.discoverysport.net/forum...da-just-placed-order-new-discovery-sport.html) but no options pricing yet. My dealer took two orders for me, an HSE as well as an HSE Lux, they take the one I don't want when full pricing is announced.
Corris Grey
Black pack - 19" wheels
Black on black interior
No 3rd row seats - full size spare
All options other than self park

Hi adamlloyd

Your dealer should have all pricing for options now. I'm curious why you did not get the third row? Did you get any other pkg options with your Discovery?
To get a full size spare the 3rd row jump seats have to be removed, back country access with a doughnut is not an option.

The only option box not ticked was "Park Assist - Parallel and Perpendicular", I'm confident I can park myself.

It's all part of car makers wanting to bring out fully self driving vehicles, so we'll see more of these self-driving-like features in JLR vehicles.

it has nothing to do with self driving vehicles, and everything to do with picking up as many pennies as possible. Notice the advertising, all manufacturers are subtly telling us that we don't know how to drive, alas, we have a solution for you, the brand new turbo park x system with overhead warning and oncoming accident assist for twice the price. People become indoctrinated, oh yes i need that, in the name of safety right, I'm not unsafe, I will not put my family in jeopardy, all the while people become worse and worse at piloting a 3000 pound projectile...

Sound strategy.

adamlloyd,
You do NOT have to remove the 3rd row jump seats to get a full size wheel under there on a 5+2 model. Who told you that?? See pics attached. True you cannot put the small bumper cover back in place with a full size wheel there.
