Others have waited until the chain broke and not happy. I would bring it to a mechanic and have them look at the noise. I believe it is a very expensive repair.
Noisy Start / Idle
Hi all,
I’m new to this so apologies if this post isn’t in the right place.
Got a 66 plate disco sport tech se with 59k on clock.
Just recently it seems to be a lot noisier than before especially when starting.
Been reading all the horror stories about the timing chain issues on these cars so just wanted to see what people think? Could this be a timing chain issue?
Last thing I want is for it to break and blow the engine.
