I looked and looked thru my owner's manual and can't find out what this icon means.

It pops up sometimes when I start the car and at other times while driving.

The icon is a black and red car symbols next to each other - I circled it in red....

Wow, amazing how some British road rules made it over here to the US !

Well, at least I know it is not an engine warning icon....

Thanks!

The problem is that it's mostly useless because it shows up at random times regardless of what lines are on the road! Maybe it's programmed for UK roads and the lines are different? I've been to the UK, but I can't remember what the lines are like. ;-)

Yes it is quite annoying because I don't know when it would pop up.

Since the British drives on the left side of the road, the lane change cameras might be picking up a solid or double set of lines indicating do not pass to the right ?

I know that you can not pass on one side in Europe especially on the motorways. Something we wild westerners in the US don't abide by - quite dangerous when you can pass on either side when on the freeways.....

Or when I was in the UK many times, I would see those zig zag lines in the city streets where you don't want to change lanes for pedestrian safety ???

The icon shows up on mine mostly in solid lined no passing zones. Its goes off when Im out of the zones. It will come on randomly once in a great while. The camera obviousy picks up some anomoly to trip the warning sign. But mostly it seems to work as it should.

Now then .....The "NIGHT" speed limit sign that appears sometimes still baffles me. LOL!

Yea, that NIGHT speed limit sign doesn't work at all. I take back my comment about the no passing indicator being the most inaccurate thing in the DS -- it's really the NIGHT display. It comes on at any ole time, night or day.
