Hey guys -

Just picked up my new 2015 Discovery Sport HSE after having two Ranger Rover Sports for past seven years. Loving it so far.

Just noticed it's missing the standard Trunk Cargo Cover Shield / Shade that my old Rover Sports had.

Did my dealer mess up and it's missing this or do the Discovery Sports don't come with this.

Let me know how yours came.

Thanks!

Yep, I thought the front sun shade was the rear cargo cover.. Found out I was wrong when I opened the box...
Called dealership and said it was missing. She said...oh, they are not included. Personally I thought this was complete BS. I am in negotiation to get one at no charge. I'll let you know how it pans out.

I have HSE LUX and this was not included.

DiscoDisco - Let us know where you net out as this is definitely BS. I had two Range Rover Sports prior to this and they both included that. It's a no-brainer to be included.

I am being informed that it is option only and not included. If it's not ordered or does not come already listed on the window sticker under "Safety & Security" then it's not included.
I just found that nugget out.

Also, since I purchased mine literally the day after it came in, I didn't question it when I was looking at it, I figured they just didn't have time to put it in there yet. I also assumed, due to experience with other brands of lesser rung reputation, that it would be included in a LR. So it never crossed my mind that it wouldn't be included.

I'll let you guys know how mine ends up, I'm pretty good at being a squeaky wheel. I thinks that's the ONLY way I'm getting the cover.

I can't seem to find the accessories for the DS on the landrover USA website anymore. They used to populate when you build a car, but not anymore.

Hmmm I was able to select and find accessories in the build up section. That's where I found the load bars and roof luggage case I want. If I recall correctly, it was relatively obvious.

Strange, when I build a HSE Lux, the accessories are no longer something I can see or add.

Maybe I will try a different browser or computer and see what it looks like.

we may have to thank DiscoDisco or anyone who complained, i received a letter from JLR yesterday stating the cargo cover should've been included in my car and that i just needed to contact my local dealer to have it installed. in the letter also stated my first maintainance was complimentary which i already knew, but offered $300 gift certificate instead as an option towards any accessories.

This is good news, and fairly stand up for JLR.

My brother was missing one small feature from his 2015 LR4 and they also sent him a $300 voucher for accessories.

hi everyone, just to clarify, I didn't call JLR nor I even knew the cover was supposed to come with the car. I just received this letter unexpectedly. I did speak with my local dealer yesterday and they confirmed that they will order the cover for me and install once arrived. they also told me JLR had advertised Disco incorrectly on the 1st complimentary maintenance. in fact, it does not come with a free service like other LRs. but since they did make a mistake on that part, they are now offering $300 gift voucher to cover the service cost. the service manager told me it would cost $295 for the 1st service, thus the amount of 300. hope this helps.

Yikes! $295 for the first oil change seems crazy to me. The engine is sourced from Ford, and I bet they don't charge $300 for their first oil change.

My first scheduled maintenance for my LR4 was at 15K or 1 year. It was complimentary. The second one was $119 for full synthetic and for those engines, you had to suck the oil out as there was no drain plug.

I realize this is a premium brand, and that I have owned a lot of them, (Audi, Lexus, Land Rover, BMW...) but never was the first oil change anywhere near that.

I can confirm the process: my brother got a letter in the mail explaining the situation and never said a word to the dealer or JLR headquarters.
