There is this little white LED on the overhead console for which I can't determine a purpose (had a similar light on my Infinity). It is only lit when the headlights/running lights are on. Anyone know what this is for?

The light gives illumination to the center consul, not much, but at night block the LED and you will see a small difference.

Yup just a little ambient light for the center console. I’ve has the same thing in my RAM trucks since 2013.

That's what it is... My mazda3 had a faint blue light that I didn't notice until someone pointed it out. It also had dim lights on the interior door handles. It does help in complete darkness.
