Anyone ever thought of this?
There's that slot underneath the main grille in the bumper.
I thought that might be prime location for a small LED lightbar.

Most of the new ones available are pretty low-power usage, weatherproof, and extremely bright.
I'm useless at wiring this stuff by myself, but I'm curious to hear what y'all think about this.

Sounds cool. I put my EZ pass back there zip tied. You can't see it.

I also put many lights in the grill of my Jeep Wrangler without issue.

There are so many computerized monitors on the Discovery Sport which makes me hesitant to add any electronics. It may think the draw of power is an issue with whatever you tap.

It is a cool thought though. Maybe even a scanner in there like Knight Rider. Ha.

That is my hesitation too. I haven't had any real issues (knock on wood), so I don't want to jinx myself with some mods.
Speaking of EZ Pass... how did you get it back there?

Personally I think it would look absolutely stupid, as does every LED light bar I see blaring from Brodozers....you know, those lifted F250 Super Duties you see driving around? :)

I'm would maybe think that the gap is essential to cooling of the vehicle and therefore could blocking that effect the performance of the system

Yeah - having thought about it a bit more, modern vehicles are so reliant on computers controlling everything... one little modification would probably wreak havoc :p
