How they displayed it was great, but it could have been better. Taking cues from how some Jeep displays are could have helped them here, tap into those feelings and emotion of consumers in an even better way :D

That is quite impressive. I think that the Discovery was going for a more modern design in stead of going to out and out outdoorsyness.
Yup.
As cool as what Jeep did is... it doesn't always have to be like that. Don't think this idea is foreign to them because with all the thought and people that go into making this happen... i'm sure they thought of that.

I just think that the difference in display speaks to the difference between the brands. Land Rover focuses a bit more on the luxury side of things while jeep is all about trail riding. I think both are good, just different from each other.

True.
Just depends on what their mission is with this and their official mission statements and how that plays into their marketing.

It looks pretty good. I like the straight belt line on it. I also like the circular lights in the taillights.
Yes, the circular lights are great. LR is looking at making those lights straight, like all the other SUVs on the road (e.g., the BMW X5). I hope they don't do it, but the "futuristic" DS on the LR web page shows lights similar to the Range Rover Sport, which are straight rather than round.
