Anyone else think this was a poor plastic choice for a luxury vehicle? Looks very cheap to my eyes. More befitting a Ford Fiesta. Makes you wonder where else cheap plastic lurks.

Its difficult to call something cheap based on photographs, the true test of cheap plastic is touch. Cheap plastic feels brittle and thin, too me it looks more rubberized than plastic.

I can certainly describe that texture as cheap. Most luxury vehicles feature high quality plastics that do not look anything like that. Could be from a Kia...

I also noticed the cheap black plastic on the steering wheel. That stuff puts a damper on any design. It is the epitome of cheap and ugly in the automotive design world.

I'm more interested in how it feels and how it is in person.

Why do you think we should have expected this? This may be a more entry level vehicle, but its still a land rover and I think that it should leave the black plastic aside. A smooth black plastic would be better. Looks like they used it all over the dash too.
