Hey everyone!

I am so excited that I put down a deposit for a 2016 Discovery Sport at the dealer today (pick up tomorrow), that I am writing this post at 1:20AM in the morning :D

This is my first foray into the LR ownership experience, have heard many different stories but never had the nerve to experience it for myself until now. Came from a japanese car owning history (and family as well), then after owning 1 british car and now I am on my 3rd haha.

Looking forward to reading everyone's experience and hopefully sharing mine as well :)

White with gray interior, a basic SE model with the climate comfort and protection package. Got a great deal on it, and at the same time I needed to switch from a sedan to a car with enough space to carry multiple dogs. The drive home was fantastic, I was so giddy and very happy with the car! All my cars have been low tech, so the tech and nav in this car is blowing me away haha

Are you in Parsipanny? I grew up in Rockaway Township. Live in Charlotte NC now. I will likely be back up that way in May when we have our (gulp) 30th high school reunion (Morris Knolls in Denville) (my one claim to fame is that Laura San Giacomo (of Don't Shoot Me fame) was a freshman when I was a senior and we were in Chorus together -- my friends say I knew her then but I don't remember her from Adam's house cat <grin>).

Goof luck Mike! I too am from NJ and just picked up my New 2016 Disco Sport last Saturday. I have no regrets and I was a through and through Jeep guy. I really love the way the Disco drives and it has good off road capabilities. Enjoy the vehicle!

I am from Watchung. And oh wow, that is a long time ago haha. Wonder if NJ has changed a lot since your days..

I don't think it's changed all that much, other than to have more development and shopping centers. My old neighborhood is still there, although it's now surrounded by neighborhoods that weren't there when I was growing up and by fewer trees because of the new neighborhoods. ;-)
