My 2017 Discovery Sport SE’s headlights will not turn off. I turn the Arm from Auto to off, but headlights remain on. Any ideas please?

I guess by the time you read this the car will have a dead battery or the automatic delay will have turned them off.

LoL Bill, turns off fine when I turn the car off. Will not turn off when the car is running though. I drive on to a military base each day and they prefer we dim our headlights. I should have been more clear.

I had a look at mine tonight. When I rotate the knob to off the Headlights turn off and the Daylight running lights stay on. The dashboard lights also stay on as well. Are you thinking that because the dash is illuminated that the headlights are on as well?

It’s quite possible that the daylight sensor is defective, or obscured. Your car may think it’s night all the time. If they stay on when you engage only the parking lights, then it could be a faulty light switch or relay. So check the area of the windshield in front of your rear view mirror to see if there’s a big bug smashed in there! Best of luck!!!!

Did you ever figure this out? I have the same problem driving on to base with my 2019 Discovery Sport.
