I didn't like the "Discovery" on the front hood and rear trunk so I debadged the letters. (I also removed the "Sport" and rear "Land Rover" logo.) I like the clean look.

Anyone else debadged any part of their DS?

I think it makes the back look much cleaner and minimalistic. I want to do the same to mine. Are any special tools required or is it the customary sticky stuff to pry them off gently and slowly? I will keep the "Discovery" part on the front hood though.

It's just a simple double back adhesive that they used. However, I used a hair blow dryer to "soften" the adhesive for easier removal. I set the blow dryer to low and aim at a letter for about 20secs. then I used an old credit card to pry off the letter. There will be some sticky residue but I used duct tape to remove it, using a side motion like "swiping" at first (don't go perpendicular as that won't do anything) then when the residue is minimal, perpendicular is fine. Once all the letters are removed I used a damp lint free cloth for the finishing wipe.

Another trick I learned is to use a thread pull straight from each hand, slice it under the letter from one side to the other. It's quicker and won't scratch the clear coat at all

Interesting...

It certainly does give the car a cleaner look. Don't mind the front - it looks pretty good but having a difficult time with the back. Something just seems missing.

Personally, I love the badgeing. I like that people guess about ....what the h.e.l.l. Is a Discovery?? Until they see the Land Rover green ovals. Even tough there's a ton of badgeing I think it's very well done and tastefully done.
