Please see attached .jpg: there are two grilles in the space between and above the front passengers' heads, where the pano roof switch is located. Sorta suggests speaker grilles but not sure . . .anybody know?

Could be a dedicated phone speakers.. Although this does not make much sense to me.

Yes, the small holes in the grill like material is where the microphone for hands free telephone conversations are made.
Also, this area houses the sound/motion sensors for the alarm system.

BMW does this - puts a lot of electronics in the roof/rear view mirror area.

Hi,

In the UK the grilles shown are filled with the SOS button (emergency services link) and Land Rover Assist button. All part of the in control touch package.
