Hey all,


Brand new the forum. Just picked up my 2015 DS HSE Lux a couple of weeks ago. After looking through the manual, I see there are (potential) functions within the right-hand steering wheel controls for setting (increasing/decreasing) the following distance when using the cruise control. Although I do not seem have them on my car. I do have Driver Assist and Vision packages though. Is this something not available in the US? Or 2015 models? Maybe requires another package? I suppose it could also be just some generic LR pages in the owners manual too.

The manual has several options that is not available yet. Some depends on the markets, some are just vaporware.

I assume you are in North America - the thing you talk about is Adaptive Cruise Control, which is not available in NA market. Someone also mentioned it is not available in UK either from another UK forum.

By the way, you said you have Vision package. Is that the Blind Spot Monitoring? It is not available for 2015 nor 2016 models for NA. How did you get it? I am jealous!

My 2015 HSE Lux has BSM as well. It was just on the car when I bought it off the lot in June (it was manufactured in April it seems). However, it does seem that half the options I have on mine, like BSM and 360 degree camera, are not offered any longer. I guess LR made some with all this stuff and then stopped. If there hadn't been one on the lot with pretty much all I was looking for, I probably wouldn't have ordered one because I was trying to get something new quickly. If I had ordered, I also probably wouldn't have had as many features. It's strange how LR had all these features at first in the DS booklet and now they don't seem to be available. I guess they ran into too many issues with them. I hope that doesn't mean I'll have too many issues! ;-)

No. Mine is Corris Grey with the Black Design Pack with 20" black wheels and black roof. Dealer only had 2 when I bought mine, the HSE Lux and a silver(?) HSE. I have several options that no longer seem to be offered (e.g., blind spot monitoring & 360 degree camera). See photo after my trip through a construction site.

I figure by the time I pay off my loan for the DS, or at least get some equity in it, they'll have figured all this out so I can just trade for a new one with even more bells & whistles. ;-)

Vision Assist: BSM w/closing vehicle sensing and closing traffic detection (?), surround cameras, Adaptive Xenon Headlamps, Auto High Beam Assist. This last one works pretty well. On when dark and off when a car approaches. The Driver Assist lists Autonomous Emergency Braking which as others have said is a little dangerous to test. I got pretty close to a vehicle ahead of me, no warnings of any kind.

I think I have the same options as you. I keep getting close to vehicles as well and get no warning at all. I, of course, eventually hit the brakes myself. ;-)
