It would be a good move, might also be a bad move as it can be seen as too soon. However a hybrid Discovery would indeed be a great move.
According to Autocar, the all-electric powertrain from Jag will be fitted to the new F-Pace crossover (seen above in spy photos), allowing it to travel roughly 300 miles on a single charge. This new electric crossover, if its built, will take the fight to the upcoming Tesla Model X.
that could be the caseI mean could it not be both? I'm sure that both would be fairly desirable, although IMO the F-Pace would be more so. If they build just one I think it should be the F-Pace.

both SUV's are part of a different 'culture' and in doing both they can target the two different 'cultures'
I think that both brands could do a hybrid though. I don't think that it goes against the character of either brand.At the end of the day they have to stay inline with who they say they are as a brand and stick with brands DNA, it's bound to be different.
