Can someone please explain to me what this is? It's listed under system settings but no description in the manual. Any help would be appreciated.

It's just the home menu. It updates the boxes dynamically... like what street the GPS thinks you're on, what phone is connected, what the outside temp is...

It's a small feature but I find it handy actually: several information in one screen.

Yeah, the entire UI design looks so archaic! Worse, there's no option to change or download different skins.
