Saw this youtube of the Vision Discovery concept. Don't know if I should think it's cool or be upset I missed out on a better model.

The. vision is a concept vehicle . But Discovery will be a family of vehicles. They will have at least 3 Discovery models in said family. The new "big" Discovery will be out within the next year, maybe two. It will be based largely off the Vision concept.
There's a bunch of spy shots of the new big Discovery on this site.

The third Discovery model will likely be smaller than Discovery Sport.

We should also expect to see special versions of the vehicles as well.

Yup: just like Range Rover, Range Rover Sport, and Range Rover Evoque.

Yes, my dealer says there are 3 Discovery lines - we have the first - Sport.
The next will be the larger LR4 replaced out model which has more of the concept feel/looks.
The last may be the new LR coupe RR version coming out that looks like cross between a DS, RR, and Evoque....
