So a rock ricocheted off my roof cross bar down onto my pano roof a couple weeks ago on the interstate, and it’s running an inch a week so far. FYI: the window people CANT repair roof windows so it must be replaced. “If I put vacuum on that window it will shatter,” says the SafeLite technician. That is covered by insurance though, but it’s a big job. “Must lower the headliner and ‘cut’ out the glass,” says the Land Rover service advisor. I take it Monday for appraisal. I’ll let you know how it turns out!!

Something similar happened on my wife's 2017 Lincoln MKC. The dealer said to have insurance cover it because it's a $10K job. That included replacing everything, including the mechanism, in addition to the glass.

I would think it's a big job on the Discovery, too. Fortunately, there's no open/close mechanism besides the sun shade.

I am sure the glass replacement companies can do it faster than Land Rover, nice to have insurance😊
