I am considering purchasing a chip tuner to remap the ECU, however, the price spectrum is drastically different. Has anyone installed any chip/performance tuner on the DS? (If so, how is the new performance?) Here are some samples for the DS and take note of the price gaps (in US dollars):

Innovative Performance Chip ~$70: http://www.gainmpg.com/

Global Autoshop ~$150: http://www.globalautoshop.com/

Race Chip Galaxy ~$172: http://www.racechipgalaxy.com/

Race Chip ~$570: https://www.racechip.com/

VR Tuned ~$800: https://www.vrtuned.com/

StarTech ~$1,825: http://www.startech.de/en/

Thoughts?

That's my car. I recommend vr tuning box for sure. I tried racechip and tuningbox previously they both triggered CEL with no gains at all.

Nice! Did you by any chance do a dynamometer test? If so, could you share the results (as I would love to see the numbers)?

No I didn't. I want to though just haven't had the chance to. I know for sure the power gain is noticeable. If you're looking to maximize the gains on your DS but stay within the engine limitations, I would recommend a drop in K&n filter, a full catback exhaust system, and a quality tuning box that is specifically programmed for DS. The beauty of that set up is not only it works within engines limitation, it does not void factory warranty as the box can be unplugged any time and ecu reverts back to stock setting. I have this set up and my DS is quite a beast for an suv.

I understand: dyno testing is not cheap. They could be US$300 a pop.

I wonder if StarTech is the official performance tuner for Jaguar/Land Rover? (It's got the most expensive price tag of $1,825 for the DS chip.) Just as Dinan and/or Hartge is to BMW, and AMG is to Mercedes-Benz.

If you get a chance, upload some more videos of acceleration like 0-60! I'm certainly a big fan!

I don't think JLR will recognize Startech as their official tuner although ST modifies Land Rover cars. I have a ST kit on my car when I brought it into my dealership, they said it looked nice and different but they had no idea what ST was. Anyway, the chip is more expensive from ST I think is simply because it's ST. And if you have gasoline engine like I do, they one ST has will not work on your engine anyway. It's for diesel only.
