want to buy 2015 in october. Send 3 weeks ago to several dealers in AB my calculated specs and asked for the best internet price. NON of them have responded with price. Got one email from Calgary dealer, telling they do not deal over the web! WTF....

For the past 25+ all of our cars I buy in the states, mostly in Boston. Then drive them back to Calgary. When you deal with the US dealer they respond your email next day or two, easy to make a deal etc...Seems again, must go to the states. I don't really understand, why ours want to keep lot full instead of making a deal!!!!Ridiculous!

So, guys, who bough cars in Canada, plz share your experience and price paid stating model you've got.

Thanks

There is a new JLR dealership opening in Langley BC soon, I will be heading there once they open (this/next month) to check it out.

MCL have a mix of sales (Asian and ex-pat Brits), bought or DS from an ex-pat Brit (we are ex-pats too so understood one another well).

I haven't dealt with the Richmond JLR dealer so can't comment but I did purposely avoid buying through them as I'm not Asian and have had poor experiences purchasing from Richmond based dealers in the past.

Suffice to say it seems JLR have such a glut of customers and such a limited supply of vehicles in Canada (we ordered one of four DS's st the dealership and have still only seen one other on the road here in BC, plus ours had a 9 month order/delivery timeline) that customer service doesn't seem to rank high on their list. My experience wasn't bad, but far from the level I have received from other prestige brands (Audi, Merc, Vovlo).

Any members in Vancouver, BC who recently bought a new MY17 Disco Sport? How much discount off MSRP were you able to get? Thanks!

Not Vancouver but ordered an HSE MY17 end of March. You can get details of dealer margins (~7%) and prevailing Manufacturer incentives using unhaggle.com or CarCostCanada.com to negotiate off MSRP. Negotiated ~3.5% off MSRP plus the manufacturer incentives i.e. $3000 for cash plus $500 "Conquest" cash for non-LR owners (believe it is $1000 Loyalty Cash for existing LR owners). All-in - close to $6k off MSRP.

Thanks! The dealers I've been talking to here are snobs. I did use unhaggle and mentioned dealer invoice price to one sales guy and he said no discounts other than $3000 for cash + $500 Conquest cash. He said there's only about $2700 profit in these cars. So I walked away. Another sales at a different dealer said if I'm to custom order the car, he cannot offer much discounts vs in-stock. What difference does it make I'm still trying to figure out other than they want to move the stock they have in hand. Invoice price is invoice price.
