The curb we parked next to this weekend was unusually high and the passenger door got stuck in the grass. Wife tried to give it a yank and it popped the big piece of black plastic at the bottom of the door off. I slapped it back on pretty easy - it's just a handful of plastic snaps. But wow....

it happened to me too, and my plastic moldings are color coded. here's what I did to avoid ripping it apart or chipping the paint - while the door is stuck, put the car on drive, move forward really really slowly while turning the wheel to the opposite side of the curb. that should release the door.

That's happened to me years ago in one of our Expeditions. That's why, If the door sinks into the grass or dirt, I or my wife always gets out of the vehicle and let it raise up before I close the door.

This has happened to me twice. The dealer had even ordered and installed a new set of clips. The piece still manages to pop off if the door goes into the grass. I’m considering putting some adhesive that will reinforce the strength but doesn’t permanently seal it to the door.
