Same here, I purchased a 2017 at the start of this month and this issue has been driving me crazy. I plan to call the dealership tomorrow to try and get this resolved as I can't seem to find any quick fix for the Iphone.

I just purchased a 2017 HSE and my wife is complaining that she is having issues with her iPhone dropping BT connectivity.
Yes! I’m so fed up with it - keeps disconnecting especially after I’ve made a call. It’s completely unreliable. It’s been back to the dealer and is supposedly sorted but is worse than ever. I have an Iphone11 soAny one having issues with Bluetooth connection? My connection between Android phone keeps dropping every few minutes on 2016 Disco sport. It's frustrating!!
"Tech Guy" at local dealer was not helpful.
Since I have upgraded to Android 11, the Bluetooth Phonebook no longer works and keeps crashing. So after 18 months of bluetooth NOT dropping out, I am now back to being frustrated every time I step into the car.
I have the same issue with my 2016 since the first day I bought it, I asked the dealer and they told me that's how it is. I have no hope on this to this date. My car just ran out of warranty and now any updates will cost me an arm and a leg. This was not a great purchase for me. I had much better results when I had a different brand. Good luck to all on this and more.Since I have upgraded to Android 11, the Bluetooth Phonebook no longer works and keeps crashing. Please say this actually works?!Finally found a fix to this!
This connection dropping is related to the battery optimisation software in the Android.
The solution is to go to switch off battery optimisation for the apps you use in the car.
On your phone go to Settings and search for Battery Optimisation > click all apps> scroll to the apps you want to use > set to DON'T OPTIMISE.
Works like a dream, saved me from having to sell my car.
i have the same issue... and I went into the App Store and nothing came up called Bluetooth phone book. Could you screen shot the app possibly? To help find itdid the Bluetooth Phonebook app not help? or did you not try it?
It definitely worked for 3 hours worth of driving and not a singled drop - I'm hoping its the same next time I drive. Please say this actually works?!
If you select Bluetooth not to optimise will this work do you think or do you have to do it for Spotify of whatever music app uses whilst driving?
My Bluetooth drops even when not using an app in the car so I'm unsure which ones to select to not optimise 🤷🏻♂️🤣
I'll definitely try it!It definitely worked for 3 hours worth of driving and not a singled drop - I'm hoping its the same next time I drive.
You have to click do not optimise on Bluetooth and also the apps you'll use -spotify, google maps, youtube music etc
Let me know how it goes, hopefully you won't need to rip the car apart! I've had this issue with the past two cars I've owned - I feel your pain.I'll definitely try it!
It's a strange one because sometimes (like you have experienced) I get a full journey without any issues and other times I'm ready to rip the stereo out the car!
I'm seriously considering just getting a retrofit stereo put in to replace it as it is doing my head in!
Really THANKS a lot for sharing...unfortunately mine is still not stable. How is your experience now after a month? Still positive? If so...is it possible if you can specify which exact apps you did switch off the in the battery optimisation?Let me know how it goes, hopefully you won't need to rip the car apart! It could have been pure coincidence but first I turned off optimisation on YouTube music and drove an hour and half without a drop. Then I clicked open Google Maps and it wouldn't stay connected for more than 30 seconds... so I switched off optimisation for Google Maps too and bingo! it stayed connected for the rest of my drive of about 1.5hrs.
Fingers crossed!
I fixed it by downloading the "Bluetooth Phonebook V1.3.7" since I install it on my Pixel 2 no more disconnects.Any one having issues with Bluetooth connection? My connection between Android phone keeps dropping every few minutes on 2016 Disco sport. It's frustrating!!

hmmm...ok...this app worked 2 years ago for me also. But since Android 8 ( or 9) doesn't work any more. Which Android version do you have?I fixed it by downloading the "Bluetooth Phonebook V1.3.7" since I install it on my Pixel 2 no more disconnects.
It's still working fine no drops for music (I haven't tested the phone yet as we've still been in lockdown in London, haven't used the car much!).Really THANKS a lot for sharing...unfortunately mine is still not stable.
