Hello everyone...I have DS HSE 2017 and the same problem with my Moto G7 Power. It's frustrating driving with a Bluetooth that is connected/disconnected all the time... I will try with Bluetooth Phonebook today...I hope that the problem will solve with this app...
Try installing Bluetooth Phonebook from the App Store. It fixed the constant disconnects I had with my Pixel2, Pie 9 and Discovery Sport.
It works , tried it my self on Discovery Sport 2017.
Keep it running in the background and bluetooth connectivity will be stable.
Bluetooth unstable on Discovery Sport after Android upgrade to 9

I was researching bluetooth connection issues and found a YouTube video for android. google How To Fix Bluetooth Connection Issues On Android 2019

This has worked for me. At least for the day. I was even streaming music to test for disconnections.
Thought I'd share my experience - like others, I had multiple disconnects from BT on android 9.

Was able to fix BT drops/disconnects by adjusting my phone system's BT settings:

Goto: settings -> system -> advanced -> developer options (requires unlock) -> scroll down to BT settings and choose AVRCP 1.6, LDAC codec set to adaptive bit rate, all other BT settings default.

I leave phone unpaired, music paired. Hope this helps.
Use Bluetooth Phonebook from the app store resolve the connectivity issue.
Has anyone found a fix for this problem for iphone? I listen to podcasts whilst driving and this issue is beginning to really annoy me! It doesn't look like PhoneBook is available for iOS and presumably this is because it seems that the app replaces the stock phonebook - something not allowed by Apple.

I have Android, and the same thing keeps happening to me. Apparently there after only like 6 phones that after actually compatible with land Rover's Bluetooth tech.. I would never have bought this car had I known I can't use hands free for phone calls..

Hi - following this as i have the same issue on an iPhone.
Have 2019 Discovery Sport. My Samsung Galaxy s9 plus connects great, but drops the bluetooth after about a minute or so. Won't stay connected on phone call or music. You would think that Land Rover would have this fixed by now. Seems to have been a major problem for years. You would think a 2019 Sport would have up to date Nav software.

As far as i know JLR doesn't have a fix for Android Pie and higher versions so far. In my case they showed me the list of supported Android versions for Pixel 2 and suggested OS downgrade which is ridiculous...
The only way to use Bluetooth without any headache is to install this Android app play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.android_rsap.irmc . Looks like it downgrades bluetooth driver somehow on the phone or something..
Discovery Sport 2019 Bluetooth problem

Hi Same problem for me - shortly after Android OS upgrade to 10.
Thankyou all for the tips, I will try them out.
ask the JLR dealer to update your car infotainment system. My DS 18 HSE always disconnect to my phone(pixel 2 xl) before. Now is totally normal.

This was my solution for my galaxy note 9 t mobile version. But after some security patches or minor updates I no longer needed it... I've deleted the app and the phone's bluetooth still works well as it used to. Dont know what did it but I did use this app and it works.

Occasionally it may turn off when you restart your phone, but it's easy as just reopening the app.
Hi guys,

It was long overdue but the bluetooth connection issues are now resolved. With the latest software upgrade the bluetooth works as it should have. Does not require bluetooth phonebook or any similar app anymore. I got the software upgrade about a month back and it has been working fine since then. Got it done at Land Rover Parramatta.

I have the same problem, it seems like the Bluetooth signal for Android is not stable, I normally have to remove the phone settings and add the phone again, make it work.
Using the Amazon version of Bluetooth Phonebook I finally got my Motorola g(7) plus communicating with my Discovery Sport 2017. It took me about 4 months to find out.
No solutions from Motorola nor from Land Rover
Thank you for the hint Galkmin

Are you able to find out what version they updated your system to? I just purchased a 2017 HSE and my wife is complaining that she is having issues with her iPhone dropping BT connectivity.
