Hi all. I have a 2016 HSE Disco Sport that I have been enjoying as an upgrade from my LR2. I will admit, however, that I am baffled by some of the features and their use. I should note that I bought the car used, so some of it is me not knowing all the original options (although I do have the original invoice - I just never had a dealer walk me through how they work).
My question is about Blind Spot Monitoring. After owning the car for a few months, I feel it could really use this feature - at least compared to my LR2 it has some sizable blindspots particularly on the passenger side. I have never seen an selection for it on the car (and no lights on the mirrors), so I am pretty sure mine does not have it even though the car is pretty loaded in terms of options. I have the park assist, rear camera, etc (and I *thought* the vision assist package) which I would think would be a very similar system to the BSM. Here is my question:
1. Was blind spot monitoring available for the 2016 HSE with 5+2? How would I know I have it?
2. Is this something that can be added later?
Thanks for any input - still working out the features of the car and can use all the input I can get.
