I just installed an aftermarket radio with wired CarPlay. I’d love to add one of those wireless CarPlay adapters to make it wireless. But the description on all of them say they only work with factory installed radios. Is there a reason for this or chance it may still work for me? Any successful experience? It should work. Those dongles are just a bridge from wireless CarPlay on your phone to wired CarPlay on your radio so I doubt the radio can tell the difference.

I went ahead and ordered the wireless carplay adapter and it should be arriving next week. I will update once it is installed.

I haven't logged in recently because I'm busy with work.
My aftermarket radio is Pioneer AVH-z7100DAB.
BTW, the radio is compatible with my new carlinkit3.0, I will update when free
