Hey all -

Is this something that I can have added to the DS?
I got mine without those options - I didn't opt for navi either since I prefer my phone apps for navi.

I'd like to be able to do the remote starting and climate control... any help appreciated!

Yes if your DS is 2016 model. You can download the app on your smart phone and connect it via the control panel on the roof. 2015 model does not have remote start engine and climate options.

Dang! I have a 2015... Oh well. My building has a garage, so I'm not too worried. It's not heated... but I'll live going down there and warming up the car. At least there's no ice...

Are you able to uninstall then reinstall to the latest version (even though your DS is 2015)? Beware you will lose all data/settings though.

This isn't going to work, is it, if the 2015 doesn't have Incontrol Remote to begin with? Mine only has Incontrol Apps, not Remote, so unless you have Remote, I don't think you can auto start the car. I would love to be wrong on this cause I would like the feature but I've been told that you can't retrofit the Remote apps. Here's hoping, though...

I didn't realize 2015 doesn't have the remote feature? I thought it was an installation corruption on your phone. So are you saying that you had the latest version of the InControl App and still no "remote" feature?

I have a 2016 SE w/ the Navigation System add-on but NOT the InControl App add-on and was able to download and use the InControl App itself.

My 2015 has Incontrol Apps, but not Incontrol Remote. I think what you've downloaded may be different from what I have. I have InControl Apps where I can connect my phone and use a music app, for example, that connects my phone through the USB connection rather than Bluetooth. When I got the car, I tried downloading the remote app but I couldn't connect because I had to register with JLR, which I couldn't do because I didn't have Remote built into the car itself. I believe that JLR started including this as standard after 2015 (which is why the base cost went up $400 from the 2015s). So, I'm pretty sure I have no way to start the car remotely (maybe there's a third-party product, but I haven't found one yet).

I'm wondering if these features are dependant on the country as well. I have a 2016 HSE with the Incontrol Remote premium and all i can do it lock and unlock the doors. I cant even do the remote beep and flash.

It would be nice to see a big table with the country, year, model, features and if they are available or not. Anyone up for a challenge... :-D

How did you setup your Remote feature up? I have a 2016 as well and the site says it's enable but I cant seem to get it setup.

You need to go through the dealer setup. They have access to a portal which is the admin version of this one we have access to: https://incontrol.landrover.com/jlr-portal-owner-web

From there you register your vehicle and the dealer has a bit to do on thier side and then you should be good to go in the app.

If I have Disco 2015 (2015/10) when I check VIN it show me model 2016



Its posible to add remote start and climate control....on my car ?
