2016 DS needs to rest 5-10 minutes after re-fueling. It will crank but not start. After a while it does start but runs a little rough for a bit then fine until it’s refueled again. Research makes me think it’s the purge valve in the evaporative emissions system but can’t find this purge valve. Anyone know where the purge valve is on the 2.0L or has anyone familiar with this issue?

Has the check engine light come on? Do you hear the pump running when you open your car door after the car has been sitting a long time. You should hear a pump running near the tank filler.

Just for curiosity have you checked your gas cap seal and do you fill the tank only when it is almost empty?

yes, there is a check engine light on. Yes the pump runs for maybe a second when opening the door after it’s been sitting for a while. We have had a warning come on about the gas cap but that seemed different because after re-tightening it the warning went away? I will check again but it seems like it happens, or at least is worse when refilling an almost empty tank. Thanks!

Many local garages and auto supply stores will check for free. Or you can buy a cheap reader for $25.

Try filling the car when more than 1/4 tank remaining and only fill to 3/4 and see what happens. Overfilling can cause more damage to the system.
