Your DS looks great!!! I have the same car but in corris grey. I want to do some over landing too. Would you recommend the tyre and suspension set up you have? How does it handle on road with the set up? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Cheers

Also.... What are the stock recovery points like for snatching off? The last hi-lux I had I bolted recovery points to the frame. Is this possible on a DS?

Sorry for the slow reply, just seen your comment! I would happily recommend the tire and suspension setup I have - It is very well behaved on the road, and off road that extra ground clearance is a big plus! I have only used the front recovery point and it seems solid as a rock! I don’t particularly trust the rear screw in recovery point to be honest!

Message me if you have any more questions, and good luck with your build!

Hey man. No worries. I went for 235/65 Grabber AT3s in the end as the tire company i used said these were the only ones that would fit without a lift kit... Just come back from a trip in the Lake District. Drove some decent tracks but clearance was an issue. (not me but this lane was fun!
) Scraped the bottom on a fair few rocks and made it a challenge. The little DS did OK though! Do think its lacking the low range box but the mud and ruts setting is fairly good. I am going to do a video of the trip so will send it over to you!

Just wanted to check...No tire rub on the wheel arches even at full flex with the bigger tires (265/60s)?

I might have to think about the lift kit and bigger tires. How much extra clearance do you think you got with the lift kit and tires? 3" / 4"?

Cheers mate. Go the DS.

So the 265/60/18s fit with a little rub at the very extremes of turning and flex - But to be honest its not something I have had any issue with! I gained about 3" in clearance from the stock height of my DS to where its at now, so its pretty considerable although I am looking for more height and some way to fit bigger tires at the moment! If you follow my instagram you will see the tracks I have been on recently - No damage to the underside at all, despite the track being a "Jeep only" trail!

Go the DS!
