Happy new year every one, I really like what Nigmar28 has done with his DiscoSport, I always thought the DS is lower that the Freelander when it comes to Ground Clearance
but in this post, article conversations, I read that that this spring upgrade might not work on a DS that has AD (Active Dynamics), I would like to know what does this feature do, and is it an optional Extra that one can choose to have and if you selected not to have it what will happen.

Lift springs finally arrived, next week will be installed and I can’t wait to see the look and more important stop hitting the sump guard 😅
Next will be tires and/or spacers.

There has been much discussion of the DS' off-road abilities including ground clearance and the need for lifting, and how it compares with other vehicles. This all made me curious so I did some research. The figures provided come from various sources including manufacturers' web sites, Wikipedia, and off-roading web sites. I found when the same vehicle was shown on multiple web sites that the numbers given were consistent across web sites.

So here it is after the lift. 3cm higher in the front and 5,5cm in the back, I assume that the rear will settle a bit.

Sorry for the poor quality pics.
The tires look tinny now they are 235/65R18 I will drive it a few hundred kms and then go for the taller, more of road oriented tires.

Handling of the car is almost the same, suspension feels a bit harder and I guess in the twisted roads will be less agile bit I haven’t had time to drive anywhere else than around the city yet.

Happy with the Eibach product and delivery time.

Interesting. So an inch in the front and two inches in the rear. Who did the work and what was the bill for parts and labor? Did any new holes need to be drilled anywhere? I like the concept but I have to see if it's cost effective.

😩 Imperial metrics.... 🤣

The job was done by a local 4x4 suspension specialist but not real expertise is needed just a regular suspension shop could do it.

No holes or any modifications needed but the rear is complicated due to the lack of space to work otherwise the fuel tank has to be removed. Total time was 5h it cost me 100€. The spring set was 334,66€ including shipping, the springs are made by a company in Poland.

I know there is an american manufacture that lift the discovery using some supplements in the springs so you use the stock springs costs was similar, but if you are on that side of the ocean it might be of interest to you.
