Mine (2015 HSE) never worked past the second month. I mentioned it during each service, and the following day, it stopped working. The issue is the battery. It seems that the battery gets drained a bit after you shut down. I didn't drive the Disco for a month and the battery was kaput. I've replaced the battery twice, once under warranty, and the last on my account. If you can keep it on a trickle charger all the time it would work. I cannot. My disco only has 25,000 km on the odo. I actually prefer not to have the auto start-stop, even though the little light seems to think it works. The technicians know it always fails. Good luck. |

| gk31 | I have same issue with my 2015 full size range rover. Car covered under CPO warranty, but dealer tells me its caused because of fault in fuse box which they say is not covered. I don't believe it. Never really used it, but if the technology is there and it doesn't work, it affects the value of the car. I'll be taking this up with LandRover corporate. Not paying $1,500 the dealer wants to fix it. |

Mine worked for a couple of miles after I left the dealer, both times after I've taken it to the annual service. I've forgotten about it. |

There was a long discussion on the UK forum about the problem. One thing effecting the start/stop is a low battery , but the car tries not to overcharge the battery to save fuel and will allow the battery to partially discharge. Also when braking the alternator goes into full charge to recover some charge. |

I've been having auto-start/stop issues with my car since day 1. It'd work for about a month or so then it stops working. Each time I bring it in, they reset the gateway module and recharge the battery and send me on my way. I just brought my car in for the same issue again and they tell me it's because my dash-cam is plugged in and it's draining the battery. I have my dash cam plugged into one of the USB ports, but it turns off when the car is shut off. My understanding is that the USB port is not powered when the car is shut off. Can anyone confirm this? I'll do a test later to see if I can figure out if any voltage is flowing through it. I have a feeling they're just BS-ing me. I'm hoping I can go back next time and ask them to change the battery. |

I do not go on long drives too often. I live less than a mile from the commuter bus. 1 day a week I drive to work which is 80 miles round trip. I guess I drive less that 125 miles a week. Could the problem be that I don't drive enough to keep the battery fully charged? How old is your car? My car is almost 3 years old so they might say the battery needs to be replaced. Will they replace the battery under warranty? |
