I’ve put 18k gentle miles on my 2016 Disco. I’ve owned it for exactly two years (leases actually), never abuse it and live around San Diego so weather isn’t an issue. While in for the two year service the dealer said I needed 2 new front tires at a cost of $865. Obviously I’m not going to spend $865 on tires that wear in 18k miles, but has anyone else had this issue? That seems like extremely premature tread wear on a gently driven car with 18k miles.
What wheel and tire combo do you have on your Disco? I've heard that the Continental CrossContacts wear faster than the Pirelli Scorpio Verdes that come stock on other Discos.
That's weird. Is that what the dealer told you, or is that what you brought up to them? I also have pirelli's on the 19" and they've been fine on me. Currently ~26k miles. When I went in for rotations the tire shop said it was actually still okay, but the timing was good to rotate them.
